Prager and Fenton was formed in New York City just after World War I. Founders Max E. Prager and Martin Fenton built upon their combined experience in accounting, civil engineering, and the law to create a unique practice. Original clients included entertainment companies, such as Irving Berlin, Inc. and United Artists (founded by Charlie Chaplin, Mary Pickford, Douglas Fairbanks, and D.W. Griffith), as well as several construction and engineering companies.
Joseph Fenton, Martin's son, joined the firm in 1947 and assured its continuity by establishing offices in Los Angeles and London in the 1960s. Clients of that era included Bing Crosby, Frank Loesser, Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Frank Sinatra, as well as the Harry Fox Agency and countless other creatively-based ventures, many of which continue to work with Prager and Fenton today.
The firm has expanded upon this legacy by serving a wide variety of this generation's entrepreneurs and leaders, as well as entertainment and music industry stars. Current clients include iconic performers --- ranging from the legendary AC/DC to newcomer Gavin DeGraw --- and enduring visionaries, such as Paramount Pictures
